Evaluating the Literature in ORL
This 2 day course instructs in how to evaluate the scientific literature in otolaryngology to keep up to date, or as to the background to a research project. The existing literature will be used extensively as course work.
Topics that will be covered include
Methods of identifying the literature / abstract scanning / Study design / Populations and controls / Test Validity / Randomised controlled trials / Power analysis / Outcomes / Statistical evaluation / Evidence based medicine / Audit

Fees
The course fee is £430 which includes lunches, teas and coffees but not accommodation. The latter is up to the individual to arrange.
